Speed Lanes


Speed lanes are the ultimate solution for offering a high level of security, it restricts access inside your premises to stop unwanted visitors wandering around your building & improve the flow of people. These can be easily linked into your access control system.

When a valid card is present to the lane, the gate paddles open up almost instantly to allow access, it is then monitored through the lane in photocells (photographic safety beams), as soon as they've passed through, the paddles return to the fully closed position the same time it takes to open.

The photocells are also configured to trigger the alarm tracking system if someone attempts to pass through without valid card access or jumping over. This is commonly seen & used in railway stations. They are also protected against tailgating.

Speed lanes can be connected to the building's fire alarm system to automatically open and allow unrestricted egress in the event of an emergency.
